This year marks a special anniversary for the VIBES Awards, as they celebrate their 25th year of recognising and rewarding environmental excellence in Scottish businesses. SEPA CEO, Nicole Paterson, opened the ceremony, highlighting the incredible journey of VIBES and the community that has come together to champion sustainability.
George Leslie was honoured to be shortlisted for the Vision in Business Scotland – Best Large Business Award 2024. Although we did not win, being shortlisted on our first time submitting ourselves for this award was a significant achievement, acknowledging the dedication and hard work of the entire organisation in advancing sustainability practices and minimising our environmental impact.
The VIBES Awards have made a significant impact over the past 25 years, recognising 280 businesses, receiving over 2500 applications, providing guidance to over 1000 businesses, and engaging with more than 10,000 businesses. With the civil engineering industry facing unique challenges in achieving sustainability, through innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence, George Leslie is making significant strides.
Even though this year wasn’t our year, we are committed to continuing to explore sustainable solutions and to serve as an industry leader in environmental stewardship.
