George Leslie have successfully completed the load out of the linkspan deck for our works at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal as part of Caledonian Maritime Assets New Islay Vessel Enabling Works Project.
This operation required close co-ordination from the George Leslie project team and our supply chain to work around several constraints including tidal working, opening of the 101-year-old Bascule Bridge at Renfrew, and the close proximity of the load out site to Glasgow Airport.
The linkspan structure is now heading to Fairlie Quay for storage ahead of installation on site mid-June.
