Reservoir Working

Drumbowie Reservoir Repairs

Drumbowie Reservoir is situated in the hills above Denny and although no longer supplying water into supply, still requires regular inspection and maintenance under the Reservoirs Act.
This work resulting from the annual inspection comprised vegetation clearance and both masonry and stone pitching repairs to both the reservoir embankment face and the 600m long overflow spillway channel. Drainage improvements on the embankment access road, and concrete and fencing repairs to the cattle drinking points on the inlet burn were also undertaken.
