The works involved the construction of an access ramp and stairway with pre-cast retaining walls to allow access from the newly constructed park and ride facility at Carluke Railway Station.

The particular feature of the works is the contractor-designed retaining walls which are faced in attractive natural stone.

Associated works included access street-lighting, security close-circuit TV installation and steel pedestrian parapets.
