About the role:

The Document Controller reports directly to the Lead Document Controller and BIM Manager. They will be responsible for implementing the use and development of our Common Data Environment (CDE) and site data capture platform. You will support the implementation of project information processes which align to ISO 19650-2:2018 (incl UK Annex) or project specific requirements set by the client. You will promote the business processes in alignment with specific project requirements.

Location: Office based / Hybrid Working
Salary: £30,000 – 34,000k
Hours: 40 hours per week

What you will do:

  • Administer and support development of our CDE & site data capture platforms
  • Provide proactive and reactive support for staff and external organisations
  • Support the exchange of information to client CDE’s
  • Deliver training to both internal employees and external organisations, in person or online via Microsoft Teams. This may require occasional travelling to our sites across Scotland.
  • Configure and deploy naming conventions to ensure compliance with client requirements, company procedures and BIM standards
  • Provide document control support to our projects adopting business processes and procedures
  • Coordinate the development and application of information management workflows

What you will have:

  • At least 2-3 years experience as a document controller using CDE’s
  • Competent use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and mobile technologies (e.g. tablet devices)
  • Confidence to interact with Clients, subcontractors and supply chain
  • Good team working skills as well as the drive to work on your own
  • Good time management and ability to work to deadlines
  • A methodical approach to organising data and information
  • An aptitude to learn, understand and use new technologies
  • Motivation to push the boundaries of what is being done
  • A process driven mindset
