Muirdykes Water Treatment Works treats raw water abstracted from the Rowbanks-Barcraigs impounding reservoirs and supplies up to 60Ml/day of potable water to the Howwood, Linwood, Johnstone and Paisley areas of Renfrewhire.
The existing works required upgrading to improve the drinking water quality with the opportunity also taken to undertake major capital maintenance upgrading.

This significant upgrading and improvement programme of work was undertaken with close co-operation with Scottish Water Operations to ensure that a continuous supply of the essential potable water into service was maintained.
The overall project involves the off-site fabrication and installation of a new linkspan structure at Oban Ferry Terminal for client Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMal).
