Water Supply & Pipeline Work

Glendevon Raw Water System Repair Works

Glendevon Water Treatment Works provides the principal supply of treated water to the greater part of Fife. This project was for essential repairs and upgrades to the raw water feed from Glendevon Reservoir, high in the Ochil Hills, to Glendevon Water Treatment Works.

The main areas of work included repairs to five pipe-bridges, mains replacement and upgrading and stabilisation work to areas of slope slippage.

· Blast cleaning and re-painting

· River diversions

· Rock armour supply & placing

· Slip-lining large diameter mains

· Laying 240m of 400Ø HPPE main
