In 2012, debris blocking the Ceres Burn resulted in catastrophic downstream flooding along the C45, at Dura Den, Fife which washed away sections of the road and the supporting embankment and caused extensive structural damage to adjacent low-lying properties. The road had remained closed for a prolonged period with severely restricted access to the remaining properties
This project was to restore and reconstruct the road, its associated embankments and retaining wall structures. The works involved:-
GL making a return visit to the Sound of Kerrera off Oban, to undertake substantial repairs to the breakwater which suffered collision damage following an altercation with a workboat earlier this year.

GL are ahead of the curve in their support for Scottish Water’s recently launched campaign to encourage people to use a refillable bottle to ‘top up from the tap’ with over 250 GL-branded reusable water bottles distributed across the sites over the past three weeks.
