A Cost-plus contract is nice to have but sometimes a Cost-minus project can be equally rewarding!
A purpose-built retreat for children affected by cancer, the Ripple Retreat on the southern bank of Loch Venachar will allow the youngsters and their families to spend a short break together in a restful, tranquil setting and the new jetty will enable them to enjoy water-based activities. Whilst the finished job has cost GL somewhat more than the indicative budget, we are nevertheless delighted to have been given the opportunity to make our contribution to this worthwhile project and build the jetty.
GL would also acknowledge the contributions made by many of our regular suppliers who provided their goods and services at much reduced rates – and in some cases for free – and out thanks go to:
VC Piling / Groundforce – YES Plant Hire – Lochwinnoch Transport – Davis Track Hire – Portakabin (Konstructa ) – Shearwater Marine (Diving) – H K Gillies (Metalwork) – Thompson Welding Services – Kelly Blacksmiths – Steelway Flooring – Trees 4 Scotland – Wallace Stone (structural design)
