Construction of two fish passes for the Rivers and Fisheries Trust of Scotland (RAFTS) – at Millheugh, Larkhall and Ferniegair, Hamilton – on the River Avon, to provide a route for migrating fish to bypass the barriers posed by the existing weirs. The photograph shows the zig-zag outline of the fish pass taking shape at Millheugh, with the temporary portadam protecting the work.
